Small Roof AC Unit

Is there such thing as a small roof mount AC unit? I have a 291RESL with a place to mount another roof unit and wiring already run to it. It is just for the bedroom which is just a little bigger than the queen bed that is in it. Seems like overkill to put even a 13.5k BTU system in for that small of an area. Would like to save some money and purchase a cheaper one if at all possible. We would need the AC unit and bottom unit. We would love for it to be automatic and have a light if that is even possible.

Does anyone have a Soleus Air HCB-R135-A? It looks like the unit and the bottom can be bought for under $500.

I don’t usually promote or refer someone to other forums… but since you aren’t getting a lot of responses here, you might try your question over on RV.net

Since it’s an ‘all brands’ site, run by Good Sam… you’ll have a much wider base from which to possibly get an answer.

If you are talking about size Dometic makes a low profile unit so check their website: dometic.com. If by smaller you mean less BTU's I have not seen anything as low as 9000 BTU's. Since you unit is pre setup for a second I image that the roof will be configured for a unit that will fit a 14.5 x 14.5 hole in the roof which is pretty standard. Good luck in finding what you want.

Perhaps you get something like this, it’s probably cheaper in the US!
