Schwentek Slide stuck out

our main side is stuck open on our 3950 Voltage. It is tempermental and I do not fully extend it but hubby did the slides this time and I think it is out to far. You can hear the more engage to extend it but not to retract it. We have tried the manual override and it is clicking the controller but no noise at the motors. Any ideas? we are waiting to get some manpower back in the neighborhood to disengage the motors and push the slide back in to take it to our repair guy.

Are you getting flashing lights at the controller? If so, the code should indicate where the problem is...

If the slides are working properly, there should not be an "out too far" position. You should be able to hold the switch until they physically stop sliding. Putting them out partially is actually not the best for maintaining alignment.

That is my thought. Is sounds like they might be out of sync. There are 4 motors on each slide.

just the flashing lights when we override it. Also it doesn't help that whomever installed the controller and placed it upside down and directly over the batteries that we have to lay on to get to it!!!

so we have to remove the screw and disengage all 4 motors. Are they accessible from the outside of the trailer?

Wow, really? I thought there were only 2... one on each side, at the top.

There is one for each track. I have seen one unit with 3 tracks on each side of the slide [emoji15]

Should be. You will have to pull the seal away from the track and you should see the motor mounted to the frame.

That's what I thought too. But that is a lot of weight to be pushing?

Hmmm I believe I brain farted. There is more than one type of Schwintek system. Some (most) appear to be two motors mounted at the top.

Here is a link to the trouble shooting guide.

Are you sure you're looking at the correct controller? On mine the controller above the battery is for the bedroom. Main slide controller is in the baggage area ceiling on the passenger side. But I don't know that your 3950 is wired the same, Just sayin...

Your unit has 3 slides, your main slide has 2 motors on top with 3 tracks on each side, you can get to the motors from inside, if you have to remove, you will have to remove a screw on the outside near the top....you will Have to move the slide in a few feet to remove the motor if you have too. What does the lights say on the controller, it should be located in the left side storage area
