I have a toy hauler that has been in the sun in Arizona, Mexico and Oklahoma. It's a 2013 and all I do is keep the tree junk off of it, look at the caulking and watch for potential problem areas. I'm not that anal so I do it occasionally when the mood strikes me.
A cover would be nice but my feeling is they are not worth the cost and trouble. Covers for RVs, boats, motorcycles, spas and whatever else they build covers for don't last that long so more time and money is spent removing and replacing them than they are worth.
Being in the shade is a plus for sure.
This reminds me of one of my wives that complained she couldn't use the garage for her car. I was at a loss because her car sat at work for 50 hours a week in the Arizona sun and would actually sit in the garage less time than that.
I believe in dash mats however
