Road side service

Contemplating purchasing Good Sam Roadside Service, there are several tiers from kind of basic to platinum. Have any of you had some level of this ? In your opinion , is it worth it ?

A couple years ago we had a brake wire problem on the fifth wheel and had to have it towed out of Fort wilderness Disney made arrangements through good Sam for two days later when you’re getting ready to leave very nice people to deal with highly recommend it without them the total bill would’ve been $680.

I have had AAA and Good Sam Platinum coverage. Both had good points and bad points that depend on when, where, and time of day. Over all, I have stuck with Good Sam as being lesser of both evils.

You need to check out the wording on the plan you get, as Good Sam left me on the side of the road at -25 in the winter time as they wanted to tow me 30 miles in the opposite direction from an authorized Dodge dealer, instead of 55 miles to the Dodge dealer, to one of their authorized repair depots, not a Cummins repair shop, a farm equipment dealership. The CAA I have now will tow me any direction I request once in a calender year, although there is a maximum distance that is free for this service, but it is usually far enough to get you to a respectable repair shop.. Just my 2 cents....
