Quiet means inverter, but you won't find them in the 50 amp range. Here's what I'd do: Buy one (or two) of these. Very nice. If you need a full 50 amps to run a second AC, then create a "one 50 amp receptacle into two 30 amp plugs" adapter. In other words, one side will revert to it's original 30 amp, and the other will be the second AC 30 amp. Then position the two 30 amp plugs into the two separate inverters. http://www.championpowerequipment.co...ter-generator/
The adapter will run the same neutral and same ground to each side, but each side would have it's own "hot" (black)

Honda makes a 7,000 watt quiet run generator It should power up just about everything. But it ain't cheap! Figure $4,000 range. What you may want to do is determine what you really need to run and use a smaller generator. The Champion 3100 inverter generator is a good compromise. It won't run everything but it will run enough to get you by.

The Honda eu7000 has a four prong 30 amp plug (just like my old Ridgid 6500, that is probably about as loud as your Homelite) that will deliver 30 amps to both sides of a 50 amp plug and power two AC's quitely.

My camping buddy had to build a special rack just to haul his eu7000 around and has to call me to come over to load it every time he goes camping because it wieghs almost 300 lbs.
Why don't you just get a toyhauler with an Onan onboard???
I hauled a portable generator around for years, the Onan and onboard fuel has made boondocking a lot easier!!!

Haha, I can barely fit a 24ft camper on my property, and I have no use for a $60,000 diesel truck, and I have no toys to haul around. That about covers it.
Wifey has no interest in boondocking, so i'm thinking it would be mostly used for our frequent power outages around here. We loose power for at least 7-14 days a year around here. Last winter was 10 days straight with an absurdly loud generac.
Even though it's heavy, I could deal with it for a camping trip or two, if needed.

HA! I did the same on my Sunnybrook. Mounted a 4k Onan and 19 gallon gas tank on it. Used trailer jacks on all for corners so I could roll it around as a standalone unit or mount/remove from the camper myself. When I sold it, the buyer was thrilled

My company downsized me to a freaking Subaru Legacy... can't even tow a popup with that! And it can't be flat towed behind my motorhome!

Quiet Genorator for 50 amp service trailer
To save your weekend maybe you can unscrew the bowl on the bottom of the carb to see if the float or a line is stuck / loose???

For our old outback TT I bought a Hyundai HY2000SI generator from Walmart online... Unlike the Honda EU2000 which only has 2000 peak watts and 1800 running watts, the Hyundai has 22oo peak and 2000 running watts. There is a video on Youtube with it starting a 13,500 BTU without hard start capacitors... It ran just as quiet as the Honda For a HELL of a lot less that the Honda!!! And you can buy 2 of them, hooked-up together and still be cheaper than 1 honda. Just my 2 pennies.

Thanks for the help I could have probably of fixed it my self but I kind of wanted my money back so I took it back to Northern Tool in OKC
They were very helpful however I didn't get my money back. they did however look at it as soon as I bought it in and told me the carb was missing the gasket. They replaced it with in 30 minutes and I was back on my way to Kansas City.
Got to camp site and fired up the gen set and it ran well carrying one AC unit lights TV Satellite etc until the rest of the first tank of gas ran out. About 5 hours of run time on what was 2.6 gallons but who know how much ran out of the carb before gasket was replaced.
Filled backup with fuel and it ran about 30 minutes then tripped. I went out reset it and it ran for about ten minutes and then started to pull down and trip off again. thought maybe it was overheating as it was in direct sun so I shut it down and when to the race I was in town to attend got back and fired it back up but it still would not start the AC unit I had been running most of the day... I goes back to Northern Tool when I can get around to taking it to them

Are you drawing from the 30 amp outlet or the 20? Also check oil; it has a low oil shutdown feature.
