Problem title transfer

Hello everyone,
Iam new here.

I just buy a used travel trailer Dutch man 24 feet from a middle man on craigslist.

He gave me the original title from previous owner. Problem is on the " Bill Of Sale " he signed his name as a seller.

So, when I go to tax county ( Orlando orange county) to tranfer. They refused to do it and said bill of sale is illegal.

The worst part is the lady at title tranfer office wrote a note on the original title that "the buyer try to tranfer with different seller name".

Then she printed out the new Bill of Sale and required signature of the owner name (on the original title) also with his driver's license copy.

Now, I am stuck because the owner and the seller moved out of state. There is noway to contact them.
Did someone have any experience like this and how to solved this problem?
Any help, please? Thankyou.

I can't help with this but am sorry that you are having trouble.

Is it possible the trailer was stolen? Did you have the VIN checked before purchasing?
It just sounds fishy to me that both the original owner and seller have moved out of state and can no longer be found.

Alabama used to be a "no tittle" state. Maybe you can work something out up there.

Curious if you have sorted this problem out yet and what was the outcome?

No we are a title state now, with our own issues.
I just bought a 2006 Kodiak, the seller had it sold and he signed and dated it in 2016, then the buyer backed out at the last minute. So now we have to have a state form filled out and noterised to verify the old date, and have it inspected by the county revenue since it’s an MS title.

Title

I am from Illinois which I thought was the worst but not so sure after reading these posts. I have had trouble a couple times with similar
situations. I contacted a state representative from my district and they got it straightened out for me

Same here and ran into a situation on a trailer I own and am first owner on. My issue is that I never received the original title from the loan company, which by the way, is no longer in business. Conseco has no record of it. Well I am considering selling the trailer, it is a 2000 Trail Et New Yorker and in immaculate condition since it has been in indoor storage since 2003.

So I go to the SOS to find out how to get a copy of the title and find out they will not issue it without proof of release of lien. GREAT! Company that has their name on the title is defunct, trailer was paid for 15 years ago, and no way to get the release of lien.

grrrr

It is just as bad as the issue the OP has.
