Please help new to having an RV

I have a 2004 Ford Dutchmen and I had it plugged in and decided to plug an electrical heater in the plug in the bathroom and when I went back out there the heater was off and my plug ins don’t work now. I noticed the the plug in bathroom need to be reset and tried to push it back in but it wouldn’t stay. Can someone please help me figure what I did wrong I’m about to take a trip and none of my plugs work. Thanks in advance.

If it is a GFCI just change it. The heater needs to be plugged in somewhere else, not the GFCI. Also, the GFCI won't reset if it doesn't have electricity going to it. You might have to check all the way back to where the unit was plugged in.

The heater plus what other 120 volt devices were running may have overloaded the circuit.

Check the circuit breakers in the main circuit breaker panel.
Switch each one "off" then back "on". This should restore 120 volt power to the GFI outlet.
Push the "test" button on the GFI outlet.
GFI should trip to "off".
Push the "reset" button.
Power to all the outlets should now be "on".

If you cannot get the GFI outlet to trip and reset, the outlet may need replacing. There are other possible failure modes as well.

I wish you good luck and happy trails ahead!

Just had a similar issue,, go to your fuse box and probably 1 circuit breaker needs to be reset. Then you you will be able to reset your outlet, like was said before find a different outlet

I carry a test plug that has lights on it that will tell open ground etc. It is the fastest way for me ( also easier for the wife) to tell what is going on in the rig,,

Not you… the account you were replying to. That account has been posting useless, one or two sentence replies in multiple threads on this forum.

Each time they are using a name that ends with gmail! ______gmail. Not sure what their true purpose is to go through the process of creating an account then posting something (maybe verifying they created an account). The accounts don’t seem to be legit and they are not really looking to get answers to their problems or questions.

Maybe by creating an account, they get access to our profiles and information contained in them. Maybe admin has insight they could share.

Agree, something is weird with these accounts. They are certainly reading posts and responses are related so posts somewhat but they don’t add anything nor do they really seem thoughtful.

Would like to know what the admins/moderators think.
