as soon as the air gets under those, it will rip them off. Best to cover them with something. Eternabond won't work but have you thought about fastening a piece of 1 by ? to the frame and then attaching the chloroplast to that?

I cut my underbelly into two separate pieces and put in an access door (cut on three sides) for the slide motor, two years ago when I was replacing my black and gray tank valves, I also put in access doors for each valve. I sealed it all up with 4" black gorilla tape. It has lasted the past two years driving in southern Ontario Canada, during rain and storage outside for the winter. I have never had to touch the Gorilla tape since.

I'm another fan of the wide, thick, black Gorilla tape. Been on my underbelly for over a year. Despite the Arizona heat, it is just as strong as the day I put it on. Anyone who has had problems with that stuff didn't clean the area properly.
BTW, I used Eternabond on the roof... And it's lasting as well.
From now on its Eterna up high and Gorilla Black down low for this kid.
