November Issue of Trailer Life

Anyone seen this issue yet? They reported on a 2017 Voltage 3990. MSRP as test $151,000+ and still has 16" tires & wheels . Front sliding mirrored doors in bedroom came off on there brand new unit because of cheap hardware. Are we surprised......... I'm not. They didn't care for where the main TV is mounted as sitting you had to turn your head to watch. I saw that problem from the floor plan right away. My V3605 doesn't have that problem. Has three A/C units & couldn't keep up with the heat in Vermont? Glad they didn't test it down here in the desert.

Guess we should have told them to fix the duct tape job first. Wow, the guy (or gal) at Dutchmen that does that tape job must be the senior worker bee there by now.

While I'm new to trailering (only had one for 2yrs now) I've seen A LOT of things through my research that makes me not surprised at the price and lack of quality craftsmanship.

Point in case. My in-laws who just retired ordered a custom built Big Horn to their specifications, and they learned it was slapped together in 3 days (yes I realize they build the components separately and piece them together on the frame) which tells you a little about ensuring everything has a nice fit and finish. Now while their trailer is nice and all, they've already had it in for 3 separate items that have broken within the first two trips, and thats not counting the broken "theater chair" they noticed during the walk through inspection that had to be replaced before they even took ownership.

It is kind of mind blowing how much manufacturers ask for the lack of quality they put out.

It's very embarrassing to see a dutchman product fall apart and plus not be put together right as long as they have been building RVs.Voltage in my option is the top dog now in the dutchman line up.Thousands of people read that review.

Along this same line, we went to the RV show a few weeks ago, just looking, and went into a few of the $180,000 ++ rigs of all types. And just about all of them had the cheap cabinet drawers NO dovetails anywhere. Of course that is when the had drawers in the kitchen. LOTS do not.
