More shabby work by Dutchmen

This is my center air conditioners mounting area. I found it when re-taping my AC ducting.

If you look at the left side of the photo you see how the roof material was cut or torn. It should have been carried through the center divider. It was like that when I opened it up. Also the wood on the divider came you with the gasket. When remounting the unit the wood on the gasket went back in place, but really. Everything those monkeys do hurry, cover it up quick, it will be OK....NOT!

I've looked behind a couple of wall and now the roof. What a bunch of butchers.

Check about the amount of contact the gasket is making with the roofing material. Over on the left side there is about an inch, perhaps less where it is sealing. I hope it will be OK. I haven't figured a fix for it yet. And if I never leaks I suppose I won't have to.

I did remove and redo all the wire nuts in that mass of wire. They use one size wire nut for small, medium and large wire connects. I how have three different size wire nuts. I don't know why I didn't bundle up that mess before I put it back together.

Has anyone else that has re-tape their AC ducting seen crap like this with your roof membrane.

My roof membrane was not nearly as bad as yours, my wiring was just as jumbled and messy though and I wish I would have straightened out the wiring a bit as you did.

Dutchman's Mission Statement: Do your best, caulk the rest.

The other side of that, caulk and paint don't make you what you ain't.
