Finally, Illinois does something right!

We all know that the RV industry has a very large and powerful lobbying group that protects the industry, not the consumer.

Finally, an Illinois court has found for the consumer in a lemon law case.

Hopefully this ruling sets the president that consumers need.

Wow, never expected that from Illinois! At least they haven't raised plate fees on RV's...yet. Good to know there are still some reasonable people looking out for the people.

Wow! This case will apply to almost every RV sold since they all have something wrong with them. Could ruin the industry or force them to build a better product. But then the days of 30% discounts could be over, also.

Also be prepared to pay 50,000 for a 25,000 RV, 100 for a 50 and so on.

Too bad it took 5 years for the customers to get this far into the legal system. But a win is a win.


As far as being incentive for the RV industry to improve. It can't hurt.


I have never owned a "furren" car or truck. But, I thank Datsun and Toyota and all the other "rice burners" for giving the US Auto industry the kick in the pants to improve their products. They may never catch up completely, but they are sooooo much better!

If RV's get to the level as car sales, very likely then things would be forced to be improved. What makes the auto industry more prone to crack downs and lawsuits stems from the fact they have to be safe, are highly regulated for safety, and more scrutinized by the government. RV's OTOH, don't have this government oversight, and that is something that allows the RV industry to get away with what they do.

Correct to a point. But the NTSB does get involved. So the gubment is in the mix. Check this.

and maybe taking home a usable product that won't spend the first year at the dealership
