You won't hear me debating it. This thread is proof enough.

If it turns out it IS one really bad joint\pivot behind the issue, maybe it could be drilled out and re-fastened?
Snakebitten,

This little dity got stuck between the two brain cells I have left. I just have to find my collection of specialty fasteners, I have a mess of shoulder bolts and I know I've got some that will fit the bill.

https://www.amazon.com/Shoulder-Repl.../dp/B006E2O3KG

That will solve any binding that occurs because of a lack of side play due to the rivets.

Kroil did the trick. Now they are too loose. I had them open Friday night when traveling in a wind gust.

Interesting did just the bottom step open or all of them, They way there designed not how that could happen. Now time for a bungee cord or double check that they are folded up all the way.

All 3 bounced open. DW happen to look at the mirror as she watch them come open. We were in a bad short storm with cross winds. I was lucky they did not hit some freeway curb etc. they now have a bungee on them.

Better easy moving with a bungee vs unable to move them.

I think that State of Confussion thing is contagious, cause I'm confused. Is this about the manual override for the slide?

If it is, then yes, I've had to use it to get the slide in. It ain't fun when you got arthritic shoulders"

You want to be sure that you don't let anybody stay in the camper, specially someone who thinks they'll help out and push the switch, just in case.

There is a post in another thread about the screw point found under the stairs...

I just pretend to act normal... lose my meds a lot too.

No problem. Makes me feel better knowing I'm not the only on that gets confused.
