Dutchman/Keystone, please stop getting

Your installers from the local Deaf and Blind School.
I've been in the process of replacing the side trim moldings and adding end caps to finish off the molding ends. Something a reputable company should do considering the price we pay for these toy haulers. Not to mention the crappy installs we ultimately spend time making right .
Case in point, one installer screwed on the molding rail, at sometime another installer created saw dust which fell behind the rail.
Now comes along the blind installer to affix the molding. That's right, on top of the saw dust, trapping it in there to make a nice moist bed of saw dust to aid in the rusting and eventual failure of the rail screws.

Before the process and then the vast improvement. The long sides are finished and I only have two short runs to do when I get more screws.

Mind you, this unit is 2013, 3800. Not that old but screws rusted under the trim molding due to poor caulking.

Very nice! Where did you get your molding supplies and what adhesive, if any, did you use?

sundancer, nice job, will have to consider doing this mod, my moulding is contracting on the rails, not a very good finish, but then, what do I expect from Dutchmen

I don't know how your trailer is , when I dropped the belly pan on my 3950 to change the waste gate the wiring was a mess. There had to be twenty extra feet of wiring they wadded up and tossed it in by the waste tank instead of cutting it off . So now I will spend my time to route it right and make look correct.

I don't mean to hijack the thread but how did you remove those rivets that are used to pin up the liner under your unit.
