Dometic thermostat

I bought a new Endurance TH a year ago. A month later I replaced the 2 zone thermostat. Have not used AC or heater since, went out today and E1 code on zone 2 again. Did both resets and now nothing comes on except the clock.
any ideas to try?

Basically that's a communications failure between zone 2 and the control module. Hopefully your problem is not like mine was. A mouse got into the ceiling and ate the telephone wire that went to the bedroom A/C from a junction and the main board.

I checked all the wires both inside and out on both units. The surprise was when I pulled the raw end of the wire that went to the zone 2 unit and a junction in the ceiling.

I ended up replacing a good working unit with a stand alone unit that has it's own thermostat and fan controls.

I went so far as to mock up a jumper wire from the Z1 unit to the Z2 board's unit and that didn't work. That's when I found out there is a junction in the ceiling that goes to both units and to the thermostat.
The rat mouse had eaten the wire from Z1 unit to the junction so it wasn't communicating with the thermostat.
I decided there was any way except tearing out the ceiling to replace the wire or take it to a dealer.
A $400 A/C was cheaper than both in this case.

Earlier zone 1 was working, now it shows E 7 and won't come on. Checked all connections on zone 2 unit and the thermostat can't even find it
I sold a bomb proof 04 to buy this cheap piece of junk

E7 is a loss of 110 VAC. Did you check the wire nuts or whatever they used to connect the units to 110VAC?

To refind lost Zones... execute the RESET Procedure from the Error Recovery above.

So what is the problem if these resets don't work?

Call a tech?

I figured you have, but verify the circuit breaker hasn't tripped. When I lose a zone, usually that's the cause in my rig. And I think I had to do the complete power shut down once. Killed all 110 commercial AND 12v power for about an hour (it says 20 minutes, but I did an hour), then returned and began the procedure, and everything worked as advertised again.
