Recently we camped at a KOA that offered free cable. Since we were not able to pick up air TV we hooked up to the cable source and changed our tv to cable from air. We got nothing. We have another spot for another tv with cable outlet and connected there, again with no luck. Finally we connected directly to the cable source and it worked. Any clues out there as to what I should look for. TT is 2018 Coleman Lantern 263bh. Thanks.
My first thought is... while you say you change your TV’s settings from air to cable, I’m thinking you may have forgot (or perhaps, not known?) to turn off the RV’s tv antenna amplifier. If left on, it will cancel out any cable signals received.

what ATC guy says is usually the common problem. you also have to autoscan for channels after switching to a new cable from another.
THe Amp he is referring to lookes something like a cigarette lighter hole. It has a button on the side of the hole on the face of the cover plate. Press that button and tv should pop in. Use that amp when using the outside antenna only.
Amplifier being on would be my first guess. Have you gotten TV over the air before?
The amplifier is usually on a wall plate behind the television. Looks like this one.
If the amplifier was off and you still can't get a signal it may be a bad/low grade splitter, those quite often are right behind where the cable outlet comes into the camper, or behind the amplifier.
