Battery powered impact wrench

Does anyone carry a battery powered impact wrench to aid in changing flats on the road? We do have Good Sam service but hate waiting for them to respond when I could do it myself.

I carry a Craftsman. Cost me about $170. Terrific torque, works great on my dually's lugnuts.

I have an 18v Ridgid Impact gun and a small drill motor in mine at all times. Never had to use the impact (knock on wood), but the drill motor has paid for them both for use on ours and others rigs over the years.

I have a Ryobi brand impact wrench, but have as yet not had to use it. If you do purchase one be sure and select one that uses a lithium ion battery--not a NaCd one

That's a given. However, my impact wrench came with a 10' cord and I have outlets on both sides of the RV.

I carry a Milwaukee 18 volt brush-less, used on my fifth wheel a few times, but use it for business. Works great, has plenty of torque

Precheck

I agree with all, an impact is a worthy carry along. I would encourage you to make sure the socket you bring fits inside the wheel. Our voltage wheels don’t let an ordinary impact socket fit in the deep lug wells.
