Awning fabric

Have to buy new awning fabric, there is acrylic, vinyl, and I believe 1 more maybe polyester,, any suggestions it is a Colorado Care Free. A dealer wants $ 460 for a 20 feet replacement. Seems high to me. Any thoughts. Thanks in advance

That’s the link to the Carefree canopy replacement page.

Easiest way to get a quote on a replacement is to get the serial number from the roller arm:

Once you have that, click the circled link on the website page, and follow the steps where you’ll find options for either a direct replacement canopy, or one of a different material, color, etc.

I did all that, my question is they have 3 types of fabric, which one, not necessarily looking at the most expensive, but a decent bang for the buck. Recommendations??

Well, acrylic is an upgrade from the standard vinyl. It's also obviously more expensive too. There's also an option called premium vinyl... but the only example of it I ever saw, I couldn't tell any difference.

Not sure if you also found this page on their website, but it explains some of the differences. Google might provide other details.

https://www.carefreeofcolorado.com/b...e-best-for-you

Except for possibly a color change... most everyone I know simply replaces their canopy with the direct vinyl replacement.

Awning

Thats what I was wondering. I will probably order vinyl myself, yes have been to their website. The only thing I don't like about this awning is you can't lower the front , this you have to have a step ladder to reach the tube. Thanks for the reply

Which awning do you have? What model RV? Most of the Voltage models have the Travl'r awning... which are adjustable to either dip the front of one corner, or simply dip both sides to an angle for water to run off.

Photos work wonders in helping us help you.

Its a Denali 5th wheel. Don't have pics at this time. It is electric, and Colorado care free. There are no legs to it so you can't tip one end lower than the other. It does however drain if it gets to much water on it, by kind of folding up on 1 end, then when water is gone it tightens back up

Ok, again you’re not helping as much as you could, in that you didn’t state the year.

However, I just looked up the Eclipse, and it’s very similar to the Travl’r model I have on mine. The screenshot below is of the adjustment settings page from the 2010 & later online owners manual… so if your Denali is 2010 or later, you should be able to adjust it.

Hello
There is a canvas material called "Sunbrella" it comes in many shades and patterns. I have had boats for many years and that is what the canopy and sail covers are made out of.
Get the real brand name if you decide to use it as there are many fakes out there, hope this helps. ps not cheep but really worth it.

I second the thought of sunbrella. It flat works.
The stuff has worked on my sailboat outside in the Arizona sun 24/7/365 since 2006. Still looks good. I never thought I'd using it on my trailer. Interesting... Will look into that next year.
