awing arm

I bent my left awning arm from a wind storm on my 2016 Dutchman Arrow lite32 ft. I want to get a replacement it's electric. Does anyone know were I can find one? Am new to this and need any help I can get.

As you’ll find with most things in your RV, the first thing you’ve got to do is figure out the manufacture (brand)… and if able, the model before you can find support documents & parts you need.

Two of the most common awning brands these days are Dometic and Carefree of Colorado. I can’t help much with the first, but if it’s a Carefree… it’ll have a sticker somewhere on the roller like shown in the photos below. (NOTE: use the numbers on the roller sticker… not one on the fabric canopy (as shown on mine… it was a replacement)

From the sticker, you can find both the part number & serial number of your awning. From there you can either go to the Carefree website to identify which model awning you have, and then you can search for your part… or just call them with your info, and they’ll tell you what you need.

Like Tom mentioned, you can also try etrailer, and/or directly with LCI (lippert components)... there may be a tag located on the awning fabric that will give you the model and serial number of the awning. They will need that number to cross the arm.

And yeah… as Frank mentions… once you have the part number of the arm you need, check around. I had to replace one of my arms a couple years ago, and found that Amazon had it for about 30% less than direct from Carefree… even though they were the ones drop-shipping it direct from the factory. Go figure…

is it the arm with the motor or without the motor? the motor is only on one arm.

I broke mine this spring and it is a Carefree of Colorado which had the sticker with the information inside of the awning arm. carefree also molded into the awning arm at the bottom of the arm. as stated by atcguy I found it on amazon where carefree of Colorado has a store for $406 shipped and the factory was like $730 shipped.

these awning arms are extremely easy to replace so if at all possible do the work yourself.

As I found with mine, if it is the one with the motor and the motor is still good, order the one without the motor and save yourself some money. They are the same arm. One screw, visible from the outside of the arm, holds the motor in place.

LOL, I wish I had known that, oh well I have an extra motor I don't need.
