Akuret Tires

I had a blow out this past week on my Akuret tires. Of course I substained wheel well damage and rim damage where it contacted the roadway. Does anyone have the address of Akuret tires so I can try to file a claim with them? I think the mother company is del mar or something along that line.

That is the manufacturer. They make "private" brand tires, Akuret being one of them.

Thanks so much for the tire information. I have already composed a letter to Del Nat and will mail it out tomorrow. It will be interesting if they respond or pay for any damage.
I wonder if anyone has been successful getting Del Nat to pay for damages or even replace their tires.

I should have asked, how many miles did you have on those tires? That is the brand on my coach as well.

I had about 8 thousand miles or slightly more on them. Nitrogen filled, always checked temp at every stop. Was running in the rain just prior to the blow out. I never heard it or felt it. I just saw the smoke and the entire tread part in one piece rolling down the roadway..

That would be enough to scare anyone....how fast have you been towing during those 8,000 miles --- ever over 64-65 mph?

most of my towing is right on 60 mph. Oh I am sure there are times I have exceeded 70 going down hills or trying to get around someone then back to 60. I dont think short spurts should hurt the tires if they did then my car tires would have blown many times over when I was younger and not unusual to exceed 100. Far beyond their ratings.

I am interested in what they do for you on this. These are the same tires I have.

I mailed out the letter asking for reimbursements and a new set of tires since they are all from the same lot. I will let you know what the reply is if anything. I would be surprised if I get a reply at all.
I ordered new Maxxis and waiting for their arrival..I got them online for 133 each.

I'm also looking to replace my Akuret tires. I don't know what would be the best tire to go with.
Tanman is going with Maxis, which I will probably go with also. Anybody have any other brands that would be better. I would like to hear more comments on this topic. Thanks
