2013 Voltage LED Awning lights

LED Awning lights:

I'm having trouble with my LED Awning lights on my 2013 Voltage 3005. does anyone know where the controller and power supply is located? I think I may have a loose connection somewhere. I cant get the remote to work and the lights blink.

Controller is that small black box up at the top right of your awning. Lights do blink, stay on steady, or change color. Mine just has a 12v switch to power them & then use the remote for the functions.

Thanks desert rat,
I don't believe that I have the little Black box on my unit. The LED's worked fine and yes I controlled them the same way switch on and then the remote. I had the awning separate from the coach and put it in the shop to get repaired. After I got it back the remote doesn't work and the lights blink. I'll look again for the black box, I don't want to put it in the shop for 4 months again.

Does the remote have batteries or is it rechargeable? My remote screen wouldn't come on and I discovered it was dead and a rechargeable type. Of course Dutchmen didn't supply the cord to recharge so I had to find one that would.

Start at the LEDs and work backwards. Shortly after you last LED there should be a plug. From there goes to the controller Controller has 12V input. Output to LEDs and also the sensor for the remote.

Also ensure that when the repair shop put everything back that the small bulb portion of the infrared receiver is pointed in a direction that it can actually receive a signal from the remote. From the factory mine was facing the wall and I had reverse it using a small dab on permatex.

Thanks Fanboy,
I have traced the wires back starting at the last LED, I've found the plug that has 4 colored wires and that go's to another type of plug that has the two power wires and it also splits to the sensor for the remote. all appear to be connected ok and have black caulk all over them. what I saw on you tube is a little block that maybe desertrat was talking about and then a small power supply with a cord and plug. I don't see anything like that and all of the wiring seems to be ok. could maybe someone take a picture of their connections for me?

I am having a similar problem as you have HDAD. Good power. Replaced with two new batteries in remote. My remote does not work anymore and as far as the lights go they have a mind if there own. We have it set in blue. So it's blue when they work. Or it changes on its own and fades away to darkness. I have ready to install two strings of LED's( each awning) a booster along with a controller and remote (with spares). If you figure yours out I'd love to know the fix! Like I said, 12v is good. Checked while the darkness came over us. That leaves the controller.

Fanboy, thats exactly how mine react except they don't go out. They start out blue, flicker and then turn green and sometimes dim down. I wish that there was someone at the factory that we could talk to or a shop that could fix it with out leaving the camper for two month's.

Having similar issues. Mine will start off fine but then go to one color with very rapid blinking.

Shadow, is yours white light. Possible you don't have RGB and it is a single color. I thought on the newer models they went to that. Late 14/15. I believe it would only have 2 wires entering the light strip apposed to 4. That may explain not having the remote.

Thanks for the pics DesertRat, that's exactly what I have on my unit. do you also have a little box up near the LED strip that's shown in the website link that you posted? if so that may be what I'm missing.
