Would this be any quieter than the typical construction site generator? I have a 5500 watt Generac I use for frequent power loses to my house, and it's super loud. Wonder If this would work in my garage somehow?

It will be quieter, I would not install it in a garage unless you could put in some sort of vented to the outside compartment to guard against CO poisoning.

I am going to check the specs on it against the 4000 watt one I have and see if it will fit the hole. I have also told a couple of other people about it. But haven't heard back from them.

They are quieter than the open frame construction generators. The only other issue you may run into is that most construction generators are capable of 220v output in case you need to connect to a whole house transfer switch - these are 110v output only.

Thanks Aaron. If you need dimensions, let me know. I also have the enclosure for it.

Ok, I also thought you were in Memphis TN, not Michigan. I grew up in Almont, not to far from you.
