Torn awning repair?

Hi all, so I "clipped" the corner of my house with the awning while pulling out Yes, it's a tight fit and I've since found another solution to getting it in the back yard!
Anyway when this happened It ripped the awning and the tear is about 6" long. I tried one of those awning repair kits which is basically a clear tape and it lasted about 3 months and is peeling up now. Any other solutions for a more permanent repair? We are heading to a campground in a few weeks and I've seen a "awning" installation guy drive through. Would he have a more permanent solution besides replacement of the whole thing?

I've seen othets with sewn in patches... but they aren't waterproof. So if you only use the awning for shade, you'll be fine. If you want to keep things under it dry... You'll probably want to replace the entire fabric.

Sorry to hear about your "oops" use Duct Tape......it now comes in a variety of colours. Sticks like anything, waterproof. It may look tacky..but one gets used to it. ..sort of the rugged camper look.

Seriously...call the awning manufacture they can give the best advice.

I use a 4" strip of roofing tape to repair tares in my awning. Works great if you are repairing in the white section.
