Tongue lock
So I am looking for another tongue lock. I saw this and wonder if anyone has opted for this. I do not have any stock in this and it seems that it would do the job.

That costs about as much as I pay for insurance each year. I use one of the $40 units and it seems to work well. If a thief really wants your trailer there will be no stopping them. Best we can do is pay the insurance premium and take reasonable precautions.

Looks like a hefty piece it would deffinately make your camper a hard target and make the criminals look else where if they have a choice.
Rich, is correct, if they want, it they will get it regardless of what lock you have.

I installed an industrial stainless steel lock (bicycle type), it goes thru the holes in the hitch, works great for me.

I got this three-piece lock set for a much lower price when Lowes carried them. Still a good set of products, wherever you find them: Model No. 3794DAT | Master Lock

This got some pretty bad reviews from amazon, and I always take them with a grain of salt

Looks kind of like the ones we used to fabricate out of well casing. Pretty pricey, but might come in handy if you are in a high theft area. I have had a few work trailers stolen over the years. One had a hitch lock on it and the just strapped the chains around the truck hitch and took off with it (smaller trailer). Another we actually had a full wheel boot on it and they dragged it out to the road and apparently loaded it on to a flatbed.
All you can do is slow them down a bit, or hopefully make them go in search of easier pickings. Keep the insurance paid up too.

So you always trust or distrust the reviews? Grain of salt means to be skeptical: Urban Dictionary: with a grain of salt
Some people don't like Master Locks; I understand. But my point is that three locks, keyed alike, are convenient, and always better than no lock at all.

I do not buy master anymore most if not all made in china. There are much better USA made locks out there. And of course cost more. The important part with any lock is the harden steel (or whatever they call it) hasp and key that is harder to pick. My last locks for where stanleys, and was really based on this.
I shopped around and found the best price. Used them for my batteries along with a very good steel bracket.
As far as amazon reviews I look at most of the reviews and try to weigh the good with the bad and which are most current as the product could have changed. Really new reviews usually are good either as no time has elapsed on the use of the product.
