Tech cubby in garage

Built and installed a tech cubby in the garage to house the WiFi Ranger Router, the Cell Booster and Jet Pack (with some room for more stuff later). I relocated the awning and light switches to the (narrow) bay to the right and dragged the AC outlet up to the right and installed through the side of the cubby. Still deciding if I want to put a smoked plexi cover over it all to conceal it.

The hole to the right of the switch plate is a goof. But I'm going to install a blue LED in there tied to the outside awning light switch so I now when it's on. (Hey, why not?)

The antenna feeds head straight out the roof above through a 1" PVC. I bundled up the extra cabling above the cubby in the wall. Roof wart with a piece of steel epoxied on the inside of the top to create a magnetic base for the cell booster antenna right on top. Plenty of Dicor sealant all around.

End to end, about 4 hours of work, plus stain dry time.

Nice work! Your booster works ok that close to the external antenna? I had to have a minimum of 20 feet of separation for mine to work.

Seems to work very well there. There's still 20' of cable on the line even though it's maybe 3' as the crow flies. I don't think proximity of the antenna to the amplifier should have any bearing on performance. Did you read that somewhere?

Crunch time before we set off for many months of full-timing it!

I also made the mistake of pulling the basement panels to figure out why the central vac system wasn't working. Found the vacuum line was too short to reach the motor so they never conncted it at the factory. Then I made the mistake of looking around at the rats nest of wiring, plumbing and duct work. That'll be a long weekend project somewhere when I clean that entire mess up. Not sure what the guys at the factory were thinking when they put this trailer together. Maybe Friday after lunch?

Incidentally, there is a LOT more storage space down there if you pull those panels and rework them around the few actual items they're hiding.

With my weboost it actually says that on the install instructions. As long as your not getting an signal oscillation errors, roll with it!

The all were built on Friday! That being said many have reclaimed the space via basement expansion. Welcome to the full time club!

Ah. Mine is the weBoost 4G-M. Quick install instruction attached. No mention about separating the outdoor and indoor antenna by a set distance. Is yours the Home version with the exterior blade antenna?

I'll keep an eye out for performance and report back.
