Lower bunk pin holes
On my old Toy Hauler the lift rail on the Happi Jack bed/sofa had several holes for the bunk pins and it could be set up at different heights. My Voltage only has one set of bunk pin holes that set the top bunk up against the ceiling and restrict the airflow of the non ducted garage AC. I've figured I can drill some additional bunk pin holes 6 inches lower and set the top bunk down where I'll still have plenty of clearance overhead and give the AC above more room to breath.

Mike, I'm working up a plan to drop ducting from the ductless A/C that I have in the bedroom.
The cold air discharge goes straight to the foot of the bed. I had at one time tried a floor register to direct the cold air to the head of the bed but unfortunately pushing the cold air forward drew it right up into the intake, therefore, no cold air moved forward. I thought of just turning the A/C 180 degrees but it somehow is receiving some spill over air from the zone 1 A/C so that was out of the question.
I have the parts to start the project tomorrow after I finish the last stair sensor.
You might be interested in the project to get that cold air away from the bunks and down into the room.

sundancer,
I'd be interested in any project that improves the AC efficiency.
We already had our first 100 degree day this week!!!
Thanks for the post.

Ok, here's the plan. Keep in mind this is proto thinking so it'll sound a little bush. I'm thinking it will be seasonal as well but as a solo person it'll probably stay in place.
Where's the list, drywall mud pan, (14 incher), the extra vacuum hose that's in the basement of our rigs, Velcro, paint to match, hole saw, and doublesided weatherstip foam.
The mud pan covers the cold air discharge, held up by the doublesided weatherstrip and Velcro, hole saw used to cut holes for the vacuum hose to enter the forward facing side of the pan, forward for me is towards the nose of the rig. Cut the vacuum hose at an angle so as to guide the air into the hose. The hose will now run along either side of the air intake/filter door. Caulk it in and direct the cold air now coming out of the vaccum hose. Place the hose where you need it or want to direct the flow.
Paint to match, use some whit Velcro dots to place the hose along the A/C bottom and various places on the ceiling. Take her down when winter comes.
Whacha tink???

Looking at the AC in the garage...
I think you could use this concept and improve the airflow by running a duct hose across the ceiling and down the side wall to discharge above the window valance below the top bunk???
At one time I was considering going with a portable AC in my old toy hauler garage which would have involved rigging the exhaust hose to the side airflow vent in a similar fashion.
Post pics when you get there!!!

Anything the get the cold air from bouncing back up into the intake will definitely help. Working on it now but then I had another thought.
I did have the floor register thing up there that didn't work but it will now if I run the hoses into it to really turn the air down.
It's gonna look like junk yard wars up there but I'll get that nose cone cool for my head space, or is that my spaced head

Here it is in all its nakedness,,,,,,,,,, painted mud pan, cut vacuum cleaner tubes and the trial Velcro hangup.
There now is cold air reaching the cabinets above the bed and falling on my trunk, feeling very cool up in that cone now.

Nice!!!
I think the best thing about that arrangement is you can use the quick cool downdraft without the cold air recycling into the return.

Yep, and if you look at it in the right way it looks like a '52 Mercury with lake pipes
