The only thing with the snap pins is making sure they go all the way through. I made that mistake on one of my rear legs and the pin sheared off. Ended up replacing the entire leg. As part of my unhooking procedure, I make double sure that I can feel the pin poking through the other side of the leg.

X2, I always make sure the pin has gone all the way through the leg, visually or by feel.
