High humidity and excessive heat

Ok, collective, I have 2 issues. Went into the camper the other day and the counter top and stove had condensation on them, put a hygrometer in there and it read 75%. Immediately went and bought a de-humidifier, which solved the problem but created another one.

Since they pump out hot air, it's running near 100f in the camper during the day.
The unit says 90f is the max air temp to run in, so I turned my air on and set it to 85f. This obviously isn't a long term solution, I'm not running my air all summer long.

So, do I just let the de-humidifier run till it fries? Any suggestions? High humidity is not an option. Stupid Tennessee rain forest.

Dunno... mine stays hooked up with the A/C on 78° when at home. When camping it is set on "meatlocker" to keep mama happy. I do use the econo mode and auto fan so it cycles on and off.

Have you ever checked the humidity level even with the air on? We've had a wet hot summer, i'm having to run 3 de-humidifiers in the house just to maintain 50-55%, and that's with the air set at 72f.

Haven't bothered to check humidity levels, I work outside for a living so anything yet is under 90° and 75%rh is an improvement!

Doesn't get very humid where I live so not a big deal. Heat now that's another thing. In the summer inside of mine can be over 120. Always fun to try & get the frig going when that's the inside temperature.

I agree, but I also think there's a lot of campers out there with moisture problems because of excess humidity. The ac alone doesn't seem to be enough. I'm sure the "paper walls" aren't designed to handle high humidity.

Most moisture problems I have seen are due to lack of ventilation and undiscovered leaks. That is my opinion, after many years of observation. Mold and mildew are whole 'nother issue. For them you do need to try and control humidity, in this part of the country it ain't gonna happen. Hell I got green stuff growing on the north end of my house, just haven't gotten out there with the pressure washer and bleach yet.
