Grey Water Transfer System

Hi. We have a 2015 V3605. We ran into the problem of the Main grey tank filling up too fast. The kitchen sink, the shower and bath sink are all plumbed to this tank. With little to no use on grey #2. So below is description and pictures of solution.

First there is NO cross-connect between this system and fresh water. The blue line is the suction side of main grey tank. This is input to its own pump. The pump outputs to 3 solenoid manifold. The solenoids then can be individually selected to transfer the grey water; Grey #2, Black 1, or Black 2. The red switch is for pump, the blues are for discharge solenoid.

These are 12vdc devices. Pex and ABS on plumbing side. The suction line is braided poly 3/8" with brass barb (to keep it on bottom of tank). This was "fished" down the ABS cap before final gluing.

Usage prior to this was main grey filled up, other tanks at 1/3 or less. 4 day weekend having to go dump one tank with all that empty space in other tanks was annoying to say the least.

Interesting...

I have the same problem with my current rig, one gray tank is for the kitchen sink and the shower the other for the bathroom hand sink. I was thinking about just putting an equalizer pipe between the two tanks and let them figure it out for themselves.

I'm with you... let it over flow .. similar to a septic tank to drain field set up.. that is a SUPER IMPRESSIVE set up though.

Thank you. The pex fittings are threaded into the ABS cap.

The problem with an equalizer pipe is fresh water tanks sit between waste tanks. I looked into that.

Flex pipe?

I have a motor home and the fresh water is above the floor. I think my grey tanks are on opposite sides so a connector pipe may just work. Just have to figure out the logistics of it.

This is impressive work. I ran into the same issue. I added a Valterra twist on waste valve. I keep it closed and open both grey tank valves. It equalizes the tanks.

Did the same as HudsonFrog. Nice easy fix. Just close the twist on value and open the 2 grey valves. Automatic equalization.

https://www.electricsolenoidvalves.c...olenoid-valve/

Pump from Rural King. Switches from Autozone (however after use not happy with them- misc malfunction even though rated for volts/amp draw).

Used a 4 position LAN Ethernet plate from Lowes. Minor hand filing to fit.

Wired power to same circuit as Aux Fueling Station.
