bunkhouse ladder?

so Im surprised there is no ladder to the upper bunk on my 261bhs. Dont really want the kids climbing on the dinette furniture to get up there, so I need to figure out something for a ladder.

Has anyone come up with a good solution?

I made my own when we had our KZ. And it works in our Kodiak too! But it blocks the bathroom door and makes it hard for someone to get in the bottom bunk so my younger kid just climbs up and in on her own to get in top...

I think if it were me I would make the ladder out of ABS pipe. "T"s' for the junctions and straight pipe for everything else. Use an end cap on all four ends to protect the floor and little fingers at the top. "C" clamps can be used to bolt it to the bed. Clean your cut ends well and use lots of glue. Keep your spans short and no over weight adults!

I just bought a universal bunk ladder. My first post here, so I'm not totally up on the rules about posting a link to another rv site. Google "RV bunk ladder" You will find several of the one I have. I just slide it up onto the top bunk while traveling.

What a great idea. You could also paint it purple. That's my wife's favorite color. I love all the mods people are doing.
