Thanks! These are two separate places. The Grizzlies were feeding on a Chum Salmon run. Chum are not pretty when they're spawning, Sockeye are.

Thanks Coops!

In those galleries you'll find all kinds of wildlife shots if your interested. Most of my travels are for photo ops so keep posted! We're leaving soon for the Cariboo and up to Barkerville.

Re: Adams River Sockeye and Hyder, Alaska Grizzly's

I really liked the pics of the Bulkley Valley and Moricetown ( dip netting) and the Skeena....we have driven their many times.
Barkerville is one of our favorite spots to visits...so much history of the Gold Rush and it is interesting to find out the connection to the California Gold Rush. I really enjoy touring the very old Barkerville cemetery.
Hope you don't get arrested and sentenced by the" Hangin Judge Begbie"
Wells is a great spot to visit as well. If the weather doesn't warm up bring your " woolies "

Tow Safe

Re: Adams River Sockeye and Hyder, Alaska Grizzly's

Thanks!

We've been to Barkerville a few times and always enjoy it. Our GD (6 years old) loves it there and we're meeting up there so really looking forwards to that! In all our trips there before we never had time to go to Wells so that is definately on the list this trip as is a side trip to Bowron Lake.
I'll remember to remove my hat this time in Begbie's courtroom, don't want to get the lecture again, lol!

Glad you enjoyed the pics of the Bulkley Valley. Our daughter lives in Hazelton so we get up there at least once a year. Watching the fishing is always a treat if we're there at the right time of year.

Good for u for making the side trips ...we canoed the Bowron Lakes (West Side)..a great experience. If u haven't done it...try a trip to Telegraph Creek and on to Atlin.
