O.K. School Me!

O.K. Guy's I've never considered myself a fisherman but last year when traveling thru Wyo., South Dakota and Colorado I saw some wonderful streams and small rivers and I sure got a hankering to wet a hook. What would I need to fish these areas? It would be nice to catch our supper as we plan to go over the same areas this year. I have a Ga. licence, will that sufice? Also I have my trusty Zebco 33 but no fly rod. You guy's that have fished these waters please let me know what I will need. Regards, Jim

It really depends if the river is located within the campgrounds boundaries. Some campgrounds that have rivers within their area allow fishing directly from their campground without a fishing license. In others state you will need a fishing license for that state.

If the river is locate away from the campground, you will have to check with the state's DNR to see if they require a fishing license for fishing those rivers.

Your GA license probably won't work, I would check on the specific state website for that river. In some cases you have to have a specific endorsement for some rivers. Every state has it's own rules and then you have the rules for federal parks.
