Colorado wildfire smoke reaches Kamloops BC

Clouds of smoke from the wild fires in Colorado are hovering above Kamloops, Merritt, Lillooet, Pemberton and even the Cariboo region. The smoke is quite thick and prompted fire officials to send out a bird dog aircraft to look for fires that were hidden by the smoke.
here is a link it may give u a better perspective at Trans Canada highway at Kamloops about 15 mins from our home.

Re: Colorado wildfire smoke reaches Kamloops BC

Cooper, I can relate a little bit to your situation there, hope the smoke doesn't bother you guys to much. Last year the Great Dismal Swamp in VA was on fire, the smoke from that was all over our area here in Southern,MD and hard to breathe if out in it very long. Hard to believe how a fire out of state, or out of country can affect you.

The smoke is now in the Central Interior as of last night. At this rate should be over the Yukon and Alaska in a couple of days. I'm about 8 km's (about 5 miles for our south of the border brethren) from our nearest mountain and we can't even see it's outline.
