Generator usage

Hi guys,
Well in about a week and a half, we're hauling the 3895 up to the pate swap meet in ft worth. This is the first time we will be running completely w/o hookups. It's only 3 days so water, tanks and fuel arn't my biggest worry. I'm looking for advice on generator usage time. Fridge and w/h will run on gas. So lights and ac's will be the main energy eaters. Not sure how long or often I should run the generator or might the batteries last with the Gen off. Any recommendations are appreciated.

In the heat of the summer I run my generator & AC's from the time I set up until I go home. I have enough gas for about 100 to 140 hours of run time and have gone from Wednesday to Monday with fuel to spare.

The lights are not going to drain your batteries down fast especially if you run the generator / AC's in the day. If your lights dim to yellow that's a sign your battery is getting low. The real battery drain, on a cold night, is the blower on the furnace.

I always carry a battery booster box so I can jump the generator if I have a dead battery.

Enjoy your 3895!!!
