Water pump

https://www.rvwaterfilterstore.com/aquajet-arv-12v-pump

Aquajet ARV 12V water pump, I replaced ours in 2015 with this one in our 3200 Voltage and it has worked great. Excellent pressure, fit in the exact spot as old pump and is demand based instead of pressure based. It is loud if you don't mount it on a soft base, rubber etc. Ask me how I know that one?

What is the difference between a pressure based pump and a demand pump?

Pump

The demand pump will start pumping right away when a demand is placed on it, such as a faucet is turned on. They typically start slow and increase in rpm to maintain water water pressure. A pressure pump is on or off based on a range set with a pressure switch. When a faucet is opened, the water pressure drops and once it reaches the preset low pressure the pump is activated at full rpm and stays on until reaching the high pressure set point and then shuts off. Probably not very noticeable in most situations but in ours there was a big delay from when we turned on the kitchen faucet and it built up decent water pressure.

Pretty much the same thing to me. Open a faucet and the pressure switch is activated and water is delivered. The demand was created.

Close the faucet, pressure activates the switch and the water stops.
Delivery volume, speed and pressure are dependent upon the activation of a switch, plain and simple.
