what type of slide is it? if it is on steel cables, the cables are in need of adjustment. same happened to me. if you do see loose cables, check the motor and pulley mounts.

Thanks franktafl,
It is the cable type. I will need to find out how to get to the motor and pully mounts.

My wardrobe slide motor pulled off the wall. It was held in place by wood screws.

I had to have a metal bracket fabricated and attached to the frame below the slide. You might want to check into that too.

Pull your slide in about a foot-you can see the pulleys , cables and motor. The motor is at the top and is behind the trim.

Gear box likely broke a tooth off one of the rotating gears and now is “jumping” causing a shudder or bang when moving.

There is a panel that is screwed to the bottom of the wardrobe slide that covers the motor and chains. Feel around on the top edge of the panel and find the screws and remove them. Then you will have access to the motor and gearbox.

My gears broke and I found the bracket that holds the gearbox to the wall under the slide pulled out of the wall as well. The gearbox can be removed from the motor and replaced (BAL 25076 Slide Out Gear Box).

In my case, I replaced the gearbox but because the screws pulled out of the wall, it was impossible to reattach the bracket. So I found a 6” x 6” piece of angle aluminum and bolted it to the steel footer below the slide, the bolted the bracket to the angle aluminum. Then finally readjusted the chains and cable tensions as required.

Did a similar repair to mine. The motor and gearbox were fine but it pulled off the wall. Remounted to a metal bracket attached to the frame below too. Slightly more substantial bracket in my case but abandoned to horribly designed screws into the wall.

I did get broken teeth on the gearbox on my kitchen slide but replaced the motor and gearbox as it was about the same price and just as easy to replace both as opposed to gearbox only.
