My w/h bypass valve has a bad seal or is defective because when it is in bypass, anti freeze is still going into the water heater. Has anyone run into this before and what was the remedy?
My current rig has just one valve/ lever to bypass, the winners circle had about 4 valves under the counter behind the water heater that had to be turned to isolate.

I removed the w/H bypass valve to check it and it's good. I'm not sure if I'm not doing the winterizing correctly or a previous owner has changed something in the routing of the lines but it allows anti freeze into the W/H regardless of the position of the valve. I just went ahead and added two more gallons of anti freeze so it would build enough pressure to push it out all the fawcett's.
I'll probably do the "dry" (compressed air) method next year.
my water heater had three a bypass and one on input and one on output,, I know it doesnt help you but looking at the water heater you might have to add,, the workers and inspectors, sure do not do a great job, might have been a friday or close to lunch and they put one in and closed it up..

I found a similar problem on my 2013 Infinity. I checked everything and then found out the plastic lever was not turning the valve because the brass connection had traveled further into the inside of the trailer and wasn't catching. Try taking off the lever and using a pair of pliers to shut it off and see if it works.
