Voltage Wreck

This is the end of the line for Mary and I with our home on wheels. We loved our home. It went with us all over America. No injuries. Mary was in Little Rock getting license for her car.

About 4:30 p.m. yesterday evening on a very crowded west bound lane of I-10 at mile marker 89 in Rayne, LA a small white truck decided to push me off the road. He came into the side of my Chevy and when he did, it flipped him around into the front of my Chevy. As I tried to miss hitting him broadside I lost control and you can see the results below. This all happened in less than 10 seconds. The police awarded the man that hit me with a nice ticket. It took about 11-12 hours to clean up the mess. We didn't get to bed until 5:00 a.m. this morning.

As I type this we are missing our RV big time. Best Western is just not the same as having your own space with your own stuff.

Thank god you are OK.
The rig, yes I feel your pain but that can be replaced. After all, that's what we pay insurance for right.

Good luck!

Ouch! The good news is you are OK! Material things can be replaced. I hope the clown that caused the wreck has enough insurance.

So sorry Steve. The wife and I are glad you and yours were not injured. By the looks of that mess one can only admit God had his hand on you for that 10 seconds. It can be replaced.... just glad y'all are okay.

The most important thing is that you two are OK!

So sorry for the loss of your equipment and belongings - hope you have a quick and satisfactory resolution to this incident. Thank you for sharing the pictures and the reminder how quickly things can change - for any of us!

A scary sight to see this but glad you are OK. I hope the other driver is OK as well. We all make mistakes, just goes to show what a poor decision can do in a hurry.

Wow. It always amazes me at how quickly RVs crumble when I see accidents like this. Glad you and your wife are OK. I live about 2 hours from where you guys are staying at the moment, and I'll be just 20 minutes from you for most of the day tomorrow. PM me if I can help in any way.
