Voltage Rear Ramp Cables

Well, my list of problems seems to be growing, the weather was pretty nice today and decided to test out the ramp on my Voltage 3905 I hooked up the cables and found one was shorter than the other, I'm guessing but it appears that the correct length is about 121 inches, The other cable was about 113 inches long. I'm not even sure how they could have messed this up. The dealer said they only come in 120 inch sizes and will need the 113 inch one back before they order one. I said if they only come in 120 inch sizes how is it I have two cables that are not 120 inches? I said if they are supposed to be 120 inches then I better get two so they are the same size.

Anyone see this issue before? If anyone has a 3905 and could measure there cables, so I could get a better idea would be great.

Thanks, Mike

I have a 3905. Cable measures right at 120". I think all the Voltage Toy Haulers would be the same. I sure hope it is not another thing they are going to photograph and get approval on.

Good Luck.

So you're telling us you didn't put the ramp down during the PDI?

I know I didn't when my PDI was performed. I didn't know any better at the time.

Even though I didn't run into too many problems, I will be doing a much more thorough PDI on the next one.

Just another thing we have in common as Voltage owners.
Mine were too long making the patio unlevel and hanging low so I tied knots in the cables to make it all level, as it should have been.

I could have moved the mounting brackets probably but I didn't want to void the warranty, yep ,yep!!

Thanks for taking the time to measure, was that tip to tip or center to center, I think mine are 120 from center to center, regardless I want two new cables the same size. All I need is to have them send me another cable and it be a different size than the one I have. I'm not sure how I ended up with a 113 inch Cable...

Oh They lowered the deck on my walk through but just showed me where the cables hook up, Looking at the coil of cables they didn't appear to be wrong. Guess I needed to have them show me.

So sad! Are you reading this Duchman, Keystone, or whoever is running this Voltage thing? I will be visiting the factory sometime this year and will give my 2 cents worth believe that!

I hope you complile a long list of problems you've learned here. I suspect they already know most of this anyway and let us do the shakedown, corrective procedures and engineering adjustments so they don't have to. Each model year some of these problems disappear on our dime!!
