Thumbs down Voltage cargo door hinge problem

My '13 Voktage has a damaged or sprung hinge for the utility compartment access. The hinge appears to be an aluminum extrusion.
Does anyone know how to fix it? The door barely closes with hitting the other side where it latches pretty hard.
Thanks!

I'm sure your Voltage has a door on each side. Which door are you talking about. My unit had the door on the drivers side (the one that swings horizontally) give me problems. Seems there is a little piece of rubber in the bottom of the hinge that holds it in the correct position. It had slipped downward and the door slipped downward so it would not close correctly.

If we are talking about the same door. Try holding it up from the bottom near the hinge and try closing it.

Yes, same door. How is it repaired?

Well, I'm not sure what the problem is. If it is sprung, then I guess replacing the hinge would be necessary. If it has slipped downward that would be a different story. You need to determine what the problem actually is. Is your trailer with you now. If the door is hitting on the bottom of the frame try holding it up when you close it. Then maybe we can proceed.

I found this post and know it is a few months old but has anyone found a repair for this sagging door? I can lift mine and it will clear the lower frame. But if you just slam it, it will hit.

Thanks for any help

I have slightly bent hinges, mostly cosmetic so no problem with ramp door operation, you can go to my thread and there is a link to lippert parts.

Sorry, I'm talking about the big side compartment doors, not the ramp door.

Oops! Thinking wrong, but I too had this driver side hatch door slide down on hinges, so would lift and then close. DW would not think to do this so I ended up holding door up and drilling small hole and place a small white screw that the frame rests on. No more holding up door to close!
