Have been in Taylor Park, CO. Doing some great trails in the RZR and spending some days just relaxing and unwinding from some busy times.
Had great DirecTV experience while there....
Took the Genie HD DVR out of the house and down to the Voltage. (If the ghosts and or aliens in the house while we're gone don't like that...tough!)
I ordered an extra power supply and RF remote for the Genie from SmartSignal. So they are now part of the Voltage. Simple set up, the Genie has only four connections. 1. Power supply 2. Ethernet for internet apps. 3. HDMI cable 4. coax from the wireless video bridge. This is the "brains" of the system and is moved from house to trailer for outings.
DirecTV "wireless video bridge". $99 from SolidSignal. power supply and the coax from the dish on the roof connects to it. There is a pass through coax connection it connects to the HD DVR.
DirecTV wireless mini Genie receiver. Power supply is mounted behind TV in bedroom, the receiver is on the shelf below the TV with Velcro. Simple set up to connect to the HD DVR via the "wireless video bridge". So we have full DirecTV in the bedroom.
DirecTV wireless mini Genie set up as in the bedroom, but to the Garage TV. That way we can watch the recorded news while having dinner at the table.
Bought an extra power supply for the mini Genie. Have it mounted behind the TV in the outdoor entertainment center. Thus can easily, move the wireless mini Genie from garage to outdoor...and have DirecTV there.
Bedroom TV is junk. Understand from reading DirecTV stuff that an "RVU" television is capable of connecting to the "wireless video bridge" and giving full access to the HD DVR.
So for less than $400 we have full DirecTV access to all four TVs in the Voltage. No extra cables to be run and it works great.
Oh...going to take the glass out of the cabinet door where the Blu Ray player and all the TV electronics are and put in "speaker cloth". That way we don't see all the lights...and the heat is dissipated.
