Voltage 3895 LR/Kitchen Ducted AC Filter Location
Could someone please tell me where the air intake filter is for the living room/kitchen ducted air conditioner on a 2014 Voltage 3895? Many thanks.

My 3200 has 2 air returns. 1 is above the main slide, looks like a regular roof vent, the other is above the cabinets above the stove. Just removed mine this week and found they had deteriorated and fell apart. Going to have to remove outer cover now and see if I can blow the pieces back out of the main unit. Going to replace with "camel hair" type material.

My 2015 3895 should be the same, the intake look like heater vents, one is over the kitchen area and one is on the other side above the couch...
I made mine large to get more air going in??

Thanks much for the info. I located the intake vents just as you described and, yes. once I removed the vent covers, I saw that the opening for air entry is very small and on the side. Directly above the vent cover appears to be hard roof material. No air filter is in sight in either vent opening. Do you have any thoughts on where the filter is located? It must be somewhere between the ceiling vents and the AC unit, but I can't locate it, I'm wondering if I have to go up on the roof to find it. Thanks again for the help.

Thanks! Were there filter remnants visible from the vent opening. If so, were they located directly above the vent cover or on the side? The intake openings on my 3895 appear to be fairly narrow slots on the side that are visible once the vent covers are removed. Thanks again.

When you get a chance, if you can, remove all the Air Conditioners from the roof and redo the the air channels, because they did a bad tape job on all the channels and they leak, you will get more cold air coming inside

The filters were only about 1/2 inch and white and just fit on the vent cover

There is no filter location on the 3895 Center AC. The only place that filters can go are inside the intakes on either side which other members have mentioned. The vents actually are too small. BTU is rated on Air throughput (in part beside compressor capacity) in the system. Dometic actually has a chart stating what the sq inch size of the intake should be. The 3895 actually has a larger plenum built in behind the intakes so in theory it should be getting enough air.
The bigger issue is the leakage of the cold air into the attic via the poor ductwork that comes with the unit. Only fix is to fix the leaks when you have the roof replaced.
