Voltage 3200 Broken Into - Seeking Advice

Well, had the unfortunate experience this week while getting our rig out of winter storage of finding our rig been broken into. Damages include two broken windows, back door bent (sprung) due to prying, sliding glass door trashed due to prying, stole a TV, DVD surround unit, monitor for backup camera and other small misc items. I will say the back door lock and the lock on the slider withstood the prying amazingly well. I'm sure as with many thieves they were in a hurry and didn't put a ton of effort into forcing the doors, hence the broken windows. I am looking for any insight, feedback, guidance etc from the group or those that may have been through this infuriating experience.

What is being used now days for the DVD receiver unit and the sound bar above the TV (it was also trashed while unsuccessfully trying to take the big TV).

I have done the usual steps, police report, insurance (adjuster should be here Monday) and talked with a local body shop about the repair all of which has gone pretty well. The rig is a 2012 Voltage 3200.

Thanks in advance

Bummer, sorry to hear. Good luck with the repairs. On a positive note most of the A/V stuff in RV’s is pretty lousy. You can probably pick up a streaming Blu-ray player for far less than a replacement DVD player. Same for a TV with a 4K that is far better than the cheap HD tv you probably had.

The hard part will be fixing the bent and broken doors and windows.

Good luck.

So Sorry to hear about your misfortune. I'm always afraid that mine will get broken into. Good luck with the repairs and I agree with Dsol! Much nicer stuff is on the market than what it comes equipped with. Pain is having to replace that stuff.

Thanks for the input. I am hoping the insurance company agrees with me and the body shop on our plan....but I'm sure they have their own less savory ideas. We will see.

Well, if nothing else, take what the insurance company will pay and kick in the extra to get things done the way you want!!!
Good luck on getting through the experience!!
Where to you store your RV? Might look for a different place that has a security system in place!
