TV Surrounds in Voltage

I think I've seen this addressed before, but can't find it...

The tiny little 13" Haier TVs in my bedroom & garage aren't getting it, and I'm thinking of ways to replace them with larger models, installing them on articulating mounts. One issue is that they are tucked into these small wood consoles that surround them.

Has anyone removed the wooden surrounds... and if so, is there a trick to doing it?

I haven't done a thorough inspection yet, but I only saw 2 screws on a quick look. I don't wanna destroy the wall removing these things.

I am not familiar with your trailer. Mine has a 26" in the bedroom and bigger one in the garage. My garage TV is up high and I wanted to tilt it. I bought one of the tilt mounts but with the TV in the surround I couldn't make the mount work. I could not get to the mount within the surround so I rebuilt the mounting surface to tilt the TV.

I don't know about removing the surround. With super thin TV's out these days you could extend the mounting surface forward and have the TV in front of the surround. You would only loose the thickness of the TV doing that. Or try one of the articulating mounts. The problem I see with them is, they move and you would have to strap the TV in place.
