TV Cable in Voltage 3200

After reading the threads about the cheap connectors and splitters that Dutchmen uses, I decided to change all of mine out since I have the same problem with no picture from my Tailgater to the other 3 televisions. Now my question is do I need to get a kit and connectors for RG6 coax or for RG59 coax? I am not sure which one Dutchmen used in my trailer and from what I read there is not an easy way to tell them apart.

Somewhere on the cable itself, there should be markings on the outer jacket of the cable identifying what cable was installed. It will probably be melted into the jacket or lightly inked. Usually marking will appear every 12" or so.
Once you find out what cable was installed, the answer will be to buy the items to match the cable.

Any connectors I used were RG6.

I use my tailgater with all TV's in my 3200 with no problem. All stock wiring.

If this does not work for you, swap out the splitter. I helped a friend this past weekend with his 3990. He wasn't getting a signal on the outside or bedroom TV's. We went to Best Buy and bought a 2 GHz splitter and everything worked fine.

Great idea. I will try replacing the splitters before I mess with all the connectors.

Is it correct that there is a 4 way splitter behind the light control panel and a 2 way behind the radio in the garage? Are these the only ones or are there more?

So if you play a DVD it should show on any of the 4 TV's ?

On my 3600, the living room DVD plays in the living room and master bedroom. The garage DVD plays in the garage and outside TV.

Thanks for that, I'll have to double check the connections on the DVD LR player in my 3950 this weekend, as I assumed the bedroom TV did not receive any DVD from that player.

Nonetheless, it's a good idea for when I upgrade the headunit to a Blu-Ray player, I don't know why Dutchmen didn't just put in the Blu-Ray on my 14. sigh.

If you're going hunting for splitters you might as well change to compression connectors. You'll be doing yourself a favor in the long run by replacing the crimp on connectors.

just wondering if there is a trick to getting the dvd in the bedroom? We have a 2013 Voltage 3200 and seem to be unable to get the DVD to play in the bedroom. Plays just find on the living room TV.

Thanks

I looked at mine last weekend, the DVD/Surround player is only connected to the LR TV, and only has a single HDMI output so not DVD in the master bedroom for me, at least not until I upgrade the head unit to a blu-ray player and most likely add an HDMI splitter and run a new cable. (Why on earth does Dutchman still install DVD players in a 2014?!?)

As for my outside TV that is fed from the garage DVD car stereo player.

My error. DVD player plays on main, garage & outside TV. Only connection in the bedroom is for the TV cable. I have a DVD player I can connect to that TV if needed but don't think I'd do it very often.

The 3200 is TV only in the bedroom. If you pull TV you're only going to see cable. So it gets antenna and regular cable. You'll have to do some modification on that one.

I just found the cables for DVD player to bedroom yesterday tucked behind the fireplace. Wasnt important to me since i installed a small Blu ray in bedroom. However we seldom use them since installing the direct TV Travlr dish with Genie system. Yep three different. Hannels same time on all inside TVs. I run satelite signal from main TV to outside TV during football season. also have Apple TVS installed on all inside TVs. Nearly as good as i had in house.

Thanks for the replies. I can't believe how poor Dutchman instructions are? Here in Canada you are paying around $85,000 for a new Voltage toy hauler and you do not even get a unit specific manual. Just the general Dutchman manual.

Bill, if you are asking me, i have one larger reciever in the garage, this is considered the main reciever and one each very small box called clients/puck located at each of the other two TVs that talk to big box in garage. To make this happen i had to have an HDMI cable run from behind TV to each of the three TVs. I then tapped into the main tv to run the outside TV. Disregard if this was not meant for me.

Bought a 2012 over the winter and getting ready for a trip this summer. Bought the Tailgater and Dish VIP 211z receiver. Have not had a chance to try it out but thought I'd save some time asking a few questions. So, on the outside I have separate cable and satellite connections. Cable goes to the switched cable/antenna outlet, right? To the right of the cable/antenna outlet are two cable connections, top & bottom. I assume one is the satellite in and the other is to the splitter going to the TV's...not labeled of course. I think the bottom one is from the outside satellite input? So, connect receiver to that and output from the receiver to the top cable connection?
