Not sure about your trailer but I found mine in Dutchman manuals for the axle. My 2005 Colorado tops out at 95ft/lbs.

You Lose.... Yes they do. Just add 3" of blocks under the leveling jacks on the side you need to raise. then carry a folding 4 way universal lug nut iron like I carry in the truck and your set. Now go buy your buddy a beer.

after 2 blowouts and lots of damage from "supposedly" great tires posted here I bypassed the G rated and went to J rated tires. No worries now.. The tires doesn't even look like they have a load on them with 2 touring motorcycles loaded in the bay at a modest weight of 2k. The tires may cost a bit more in the beginning because i had to buy spiffy rims to keep the overall looks good but the tires are just great as far as pulling and traveling..I only wish I had made the swap in the very beginning.

My 17.5 rim and tires arrived today, 6,000 pound per tire rating, excited not to worry about a blow out and damaging the trailer now. When all was said and done was 1658.00 out the door for a set of 4 and they did balance them.

At least they're not ST's but they;re still made in China. I read some good reviews from owners of 19's on motorhomes. Best of luck with them.

Even though they are made in China I am hope with the over Kill Rating of 6,000 pounds per tire, that they will hold up well for me..

Michelin XPS Ribs are a commercial LT tire that are also rated by Michelin for trailer use. I've been running them for two years.

If proper sized hydraulics were used it wouldn't be a problem. But with the mimimalist approach used in building RVs the hydralics are probably right at their upper limit for weight.

Wonder if they put the same warning in the Class A owners manual.
I checked with Tiffin and there is nothing in their owner's manual. I also checked the HWH owner's manual and there are no warnings about using the leveling jacks to raise the motorhome off the ground. I guess they use the cheap stuff for our trailers, lol.

That's just the Dutchmen approach to manufacturing, they put a lot of eye candy in their RVs and cheap out with the stuff you can't see.

I always thought that anything with the hydraulic leveling systems could be jacked using the hydraulics. That would be mod one if I had a hydraulic system, I would replace the jacks with something that would do the job.

I will have to look, I know the 215 size tires were rated less than the 235, I went with the 235 size tires as I was trying to get a little lift on the trailer, I also added Correct Track to get 2 inch lift, so I have a total of 2.5 lift on the trailer which corrected my Nose high riding position.

Sorry for the delay, I finally found the tire rating, classified as "H" rating single wheel at 6,000 pounds.

We currently have over 10,000 miles on our 2015 V3805 / 3 axle toyhauler on Westlakes with no issue at all. 80 psi at 65 mph all day long......but I know I am playing with fire, so it is time to change.

My local tire dealer is recommending Goodyear G614 because they are an LT tire and G-Rated (3750 lbs @110 psi). Goodyear RV Tires – Tire Selector

- Has anyone had any experience with this tire? Good or Bad?
- Per the website, this tire requires a special high load capacity wheel and high pressure tire valve. Does anyone know if our stock 16" wheels are steel or aluminum? Can they handle this pressure?

The other option I am considering is the Michelin XPS Rib. I have heard good things but they are only E rated (3000 lbs @ 80 psi).

I am not looking to upgrade to the 17.5 wheels so looking for the best option with the stock wheels.

Thanks for any information or opinions on these two options.

I have the stock wheels and Maxxis M8008 tires with about 8000 miles. Mine came with the Chinese tires and the previous owner had 2 blowouts so I replaced them a couple years ago. They are wearing funny so I'm looking at upgrading to either the Michelin XPS ribs or the Bridgestone Duramis. Still researching...

RVrRat, I stayed with 16" and I have 3 axles, I was going to go with Carliste ST 235/85/R16 First because of a friend that travels more then most (Soccerloco), but Discount Tire didn't have 6 in stock, so I went with Big O Tire and ordered 6 Sailun ST 235/85/R16 which are rated G and 14 ply, I went with these because (Calewjohnson)...They are really Heavy and the side walls don't move like the Westlakes, which I got around 19,000lbs, but the rear 2 were done....Good luck on the one you pick....

Burl, My Voltage is level also, Soccerloco had been changing his tires around, but he only has 4 tires, I think I will be changing the rear2 to the front 2 every 5,000 miles
