This is probably the best explanation of the differences between a Ford F250, F350 and the F350 dually that I have seen. The comparison will be similar for the other makes as well. It really explains the differences in clear understandable terms. For the big TH a dually is a must.

Our tow vehicle is a 1-ton SRW with 4k of payload. We purchased the smallest Voltage, the Triton 2951, just so we wouldn't have any payload issues. Gotta watch those realworld pin weights. Voltage said the "empty" pin weight on the 2951 was 2,300 lbs. In reality it's closer to 2,800 lbs. (CAT scaled empty right after purchase). Our goal was to have at least 1,000 lbs. of payload remaining, vacation-ready. We missed that goal by 200 lbs. Actual payload (pin weight, hitch, gear, etc.) was 3,200 lbs. Adds up quick!

I also have to agree with the video. Only thing is they didn't show or talk very much about a LB SRW F-350 which is what I have. I had the truck before the Voltage & pulled my 03 34" Teton which is rated at 14,995 GVWR. That is under my 15,500 tow rating. My Voltage is rated at 16,500 GVWR so yes I'm over. I do have the camper package in mine. I also don't load mine to the max.
I sure didn't have the $ to get rid of my 2012 SRW F-350 & buy a dully. Oh & I've towed a 5th wheel trailer for 16 years now with SRW F-250 & 350. Have I had sway problems yes in heavy side winds. How did I cure it........... Just slowed down.
Would a dully work better for me yes. Do I have the $$ to buy one NO.
Oh when I bought my 2012 I asked my wife if she wanted a dully answer was NO. Truck was her daily driver for work. I'll take a happy wife over a dully any day.
