Roof Ladder Replacement
I must have hit a low hanging branch or something because the top portion of my ladder got bent and that caused it to break.
Does anyone here have a source for a replacement ladder? I've looked on the web and all I can find are the "universal" style. This is not the folding type.

I'd give you mine but we're over 2000 miles apart.
I carry a folding 17' Class 1A folding extension ladder that is capable of carrying my weight.

I agree.... but he can give them a call, and explain what he needs. They're pretty helpful trying to make sure they send the correct part.
Just curious, soonernation... you are talking about the top part that bolts on to the roof, that the actual ladder hooks to... correct?

No, I'm talking about the actual ladder. Somehow the part attached to the roof did not get damaged. Pic attached.

Oh, well that's just a universal RV ladder then. Most of the ones I've seen have the "hooks" on top. Should be able to pick one up at any RV supply store like Camping World, Tweetys, AdventureRV.net, etrailer, etc.

I switched out a year ago to and Extend + Climb ladder that collapses very easily, isn't very big so lots of places to store it in the RV. And it will extend a couple of feet above the roof line. Makes it easy to lube the slides, makes it easy to get up to the loft above the garage from Living Area. So I got rid of three ladders that came with the RV, were a PITA to "put somewhere". And have just the one now, and easy to use, easy to store. Follow this link to a good price as well. Otherwise Ace Hardware stores carry them as do some Home Depot and Lowes stores.

Can the ladder partially open or is it full open/full close?

Cale,
You can open it partially, just a full "rung" at a time. Taking it down for storage you start t the bottom rung and work up until its fully collapsed and then wrap the Velcro strap and ready to store.
Typically I use two straps and tie it to the top of the passenger side "bench" of the lower happyjack in the garage. Out of the way, but accessible if needed.
We use it at about 4 different settings...no problems at all.

Soonernation, (I hated typing that, go Pokes!) my brother in law opened Perfection RV on the south side of OKC this spring. He carries Forrest River units but will work on and get you parts for anything. I am not sure how close you are to OKC. Looking forward to another great year of Bedlam! If it makes you feel better they are OU fans.
