Rear Happy Jack System

have a 2012 Voltage 3950 with the Rear upper bed - and lower bed/booth combo in the garage
The upper has 4 pins that hold it up
And the lower combo has no pins to hold up? Just push the button to raise it up

My problem is when going down the road the lower combo will slowly comes down by itself??

After about 150 miles it was almost on top of the 2 Harleys??

It shouldn't do that.

The book tells you to put the pins under the booth combo for travel... but I haven't ever had to do it. Mine stay up and well over my Gold Wing.

I'd stop by a good hardware store (Ace has usually always got a GREAT section) and pick up 4 extra pins to use under your booth combo until you're ready to take the rig in for service. Just take one out from under your bed, and match it up.

DOH!

I just went and looked at mine, and I don't either. Sorry for the bad advice, but I could've swore that I read that in the manual.

Well, I guess you could drill a few holes yourself for a jerry-rig fix... or simply take it to a service center. Not sure if calling Tech Support at Happy Jack would be able to helo or not.

Vise Grips or a C clamp might work until then or forever.

Mine stays up fine. I've never had a problem. I would call the dealer.

Did that work for you? We've had that issue on 2 RVs with the Happy Jack, the brake seems completely useless. Repair/replacement didn't seem to help. I ended up drilling 4 new holes where the lower unit sits for travel. Use the pins under the lower benches, no more worries.
