My wife and I have been thinking about buying a new Voltage 3915. I am curious about the Omni-chill ac system. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it uses three smaller ac units around 9000 btu's each. We camp a lot in a 30amp park and I'm wondering if 30amps could run 2 units. I just don't think one 9000 btu unit would be enough. Any of you guys with one of the newer units have any advise?

30 amps is not enough to run everything. 50mis more like it unless you install a soft start

Let me re-phrase my question. I know that 30amps isn't enough to run 2 13.5k or 15k units, but could 30 amps handle 2 9k units?

Look into the easy start or soft start system. My gut is that the initial start up might be too much but once they are both running you are probably fine.

I don't have soft start, and my 5500 Onan 30 amp generator can run two of my 13.5k units. Never had it shed a load, so your 9k's shouldn't be a problem with or without modifications.
