Maxx-Air Fan won’t open or close?

You can get a replacement gearbox for about $10. Mine had cracked and broken. Took about 30 minutes to replace - from inside! You CAN do it yourself!

Here us the mechanism part number for the fan lift on etrailer.com: MA10-20281K-1AF

Changed mine from the top. Good luck.

The mobile home parts store carries gear box’s its where I get
dicor and other small rv stuff. see if you have one by you

Mine was a motherboard issue. Company sent me a new one, gratis. Works like new.

Exactly. That’s the right part. From the top is easier, but from inside is possible, by removing the fan blade disc with a small allen wrench.
